Presentation for the 2016 Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE) and National Association of State Directors of Special Education (NASDSE) Conference. This panel presentation by Chris Thacker of the IDEA Data Center (IDC), Jana Rosborough of the National Center for Systemic Improvement (NCSI), and Rachel Zellmer of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction addressed Coordinating Early Intervening Services (CEIS), including required and voluntary implementation as well as activities that may be provided using these funds. The session also reviewed the "Navigating CEIS White Paper and FAQ" documents and discussed data and fiscal requirements for local education agencies (LEAs) implementing this program. Additionally, Rachel Zellmer described how Wisconsin administers CEIS and works with its LEAs to ensure appropriate services are provided that maximize impact while addressing, if appropriate, why the LEA was identified.
