ESSA: Key Provisions and Implications for Students with Disabilities

In ongoing efforts to support states in implementing the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), the National Center for Systemic Improvement (NCSI) has partnered with the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) to develop a resource for states that focuses on key provisions and implications for students with disabilities in ESSA.

This resource is intended to (1) assist states in thinking about, and making connections between, improvement efforts for students with disabilities and the state’s overall vision and goals, (2) suggest opportunities and responsibilities toward that end, and, (3) highlight some key provisions and implications for students with disabilities in the ESSA.
